Laptops Anytime – Staff Control Panel (Light Admin)

Purpose

Light Admin mode allows library staff to view and manage the status of laptop bays on a Laptops Anytime kiosk. Staff can block or enable individual slots and eject laptops if necessary.

What you can do in Light Admin mode

• View which laptops are currently docked, blocked, or checked out.

• Eject a laptop manually (for testing or staff use).

• Block a bay if a laptop or charger is damaged or missing.

• Enable a bay again once it’s been repaired or replaced.

When to contact IT

Contact IT if:

• A laptop bay will not unlock or report correctly.

• The kiosk page does not load.

• A laptop does not begin charging after being docked.

Light Admin Address Schema

To access Light Admin mode, use the kiosk’s IP address followed by /bay_status.php.
Example:
https://172.16.2.11/bay_status.php

This replaces the standard kiosk interface address (/kiosk.php).

The password is the same one used for the normal admin login.
