If you are getting discolorations when printing, it is likely due to a print head issue.  (View page 2 of attached document for example)

This can be determined by doing a couple of test prints on plain paper.  Remove the sublimation paper and replace with a couple of sheets of plain letter.  The paper prints on the downward face, so you can reuse the paper to perform the tests.  Remember to place the printed side face up after you use it once.  Use one sheet per test type.

The first print to test is the Nozzle Check Pattern.  You can access this from the menu on the printer:

1. Press Menu button

2. Navigate using arrows to the Print Features option and press OK

3. Choose the List/Test Print option and press OK

4. Choose Nozzle Check Pattern and press OK

5.  On the buttons under the display, press the right button under Print

If it it is hard to tell which color, print a Color Test to verify the problem (View page 2 of the attached pdf):

The nozzle check will show if there are any clogged nozzles.  The pattern will break in the corresponding color's nozzle.  (See page 1 of attached document for example.)  If there are any broken patterns, perform a head cleaning.  You can do this from the menu on the printer:
